Detailed Solution

Chargaff's rule is not applicable to single stranded RNA. It is the generalized formula about DNA structure. The rule states that DNA from any cell of an organism should have a 1 : 1 ratio (base pair rule) of pyrimidine and purine bases, i.e. the amount of guanine is equal to cytosine and the amount of adenine is equal to thymine . But RNA is single stranded , so chargaff's rule is not applicable to single stranded condition .
