Detailed Solution

Total abolition of economic inequalities is yet to be achieved in democratic societies.
Many expect that in a democracy, the government is free of corruption and attentive to the people's needs. The appointed government is never keen to focus on the country's poverty situation. The growing economic inequalities can be seen in democratic countries too. The gap between rich and poor doesn't seem to decrease. The government isn't keen to address the issue either. According to the World Inequality Lab report published in 2020, India's top 10% of the population holds over 56% of the country's income. In the 1980s, 10% of the people owned 30% of the revenue. This shows that income inequality has worsened over time. The situation is worse in other countries like Bangladesh and North Korea.
