Detailed Solution

Aluminium is obtained from bauxite.
Bauxite deposits are created due to the breakdown of a wide range of rocks rich in aluminium silicates. Aluminium is highly malleable and conducts electricity well. It blends the iron's strength with its incredible lightness. Bauxite is a naturally occurring substance made chiefly of one or more aluminium hydroxide minerals with trace amounts of other impurities such as silica, iron oxide, titania, aluminosilicate, and others. Most of India's bauxite deposits are located in the Bilaspur-Katni plateau, the Maikal Hills, and the Amarkantak Plateau.
