Vladimir Lenin was the founder of Soviet Russia's socialist government and the leader of the Bolsheviks. This was done to separate Leninists from other revolutionaries. Because the Civil War, which occurred shortly after the 1917 revolution, wreaked destruction. People had diverse feelings about the Bolsheviks' policies. In 1925, it changed its name to the All-Union Communist Party.
