Having two eyes increases the wide range of view.
The two eyes that humans have in front of their heads provide them with a larger field of vision. With one eye open, a person has a field of view of around 150°, whereas, with two eyes open, he has a broader range of view of 180°.
Additionally, because our two eyes are only a few centimetres away from one another and may view the same thing from two somewhat different perspectives, having two eyes helps us measure distances more precisely. The brain then merges these two slightly different views to create a 3D image of the object, allowing us to determine its distance.
