The Godavari originates from the Nasik district in Maharashtra, is 1465 km long, and discharges into the Bay of Bengal in Andhra Pradesh. The Godavari is made up of 49% Maharashtra, 20% Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, and 31% Andhra Pradesh.
