Detailed Solution

Potash salt is formed as a result of evaporation, especially in arid regions.
Sedimentary rocks are shaped by layering, consolidation, and compaction of sediments. They are layered or stratified as a result of their different thicknesses. Weathering and erosion of other types of rocks produce sedimentation. Sedimentary rocks containing minerals in the arid regions undergo evaporation because arid regions lack humus and moisture. The sedimentary rocks may have deposits of lime left around by the lime-mixed water as it evaporates and are known as stalactites formed at the mouths of springs and salt lakes. Gypsum, limestone, rock salt, and potash are examples of minerals.
