Gujarat state has an international border. Pakistan has a boundary with Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir in the north and Punjab, Gujarat, and Rajasthan in the west. The northwestern neighbor of India has had conflicting relations with India. The northern border is hilly and has guards patrolling throughout. On the other hand, the western borders with Gujarat, Punjab, and Rajasthan are quite peaceful apart from some intruding movements. In contrast to the northern border, the western border is a desert-like region formed by the Rann of Kutch. It is easy to spot intruders in this area as compared to the hilly northern borders. Also, there aren’t any border conflicts with the states on the western boundary.
