Detailed Solution

Madhya Pradesh is the largest producer of copper. Jharkhand, Rajasthan, and Karnataka also produce most of the copper in India. The copper mines under Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) manage the mines in these states. Apart from these,  copper metal is produced in Tamil Nadu under Sterlite Industries Limited and in Gujarat under Hindalco Industries Limited. In addition, some mines involved in copper production in India are Khetri in Rajasthan, Singhbhum in Jharkhand, and Malanjkhand in Madhya Pradesh.
