Detailed Solution

Jainism spread in South India in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
Jainism has been widely practised throughout north India for hundreds of years, as well as in Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. Vardhamana Mahavira moved out of his house and into the wilderness when he was thirty. He had a difficult and lonely existence for twelve years before achieving enlightenment. He preached a straightforward message: Both sexes had to leave their homes to discover the truth. They must adhere firmly to the ahimsa precepts, which forbid harming or killing living things. For many generations, the teachings of Mahavira and his adherents were passed down verbally. Around 1500 years ago, they were recorded in Gujarat at a location named Valabhi in an accessible form.
