The reason for the social divisions in Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom and Belgium are as follows:
1)      Srilanka: Sri Lanka is divided into two ethnic groups: mostly Sinhalese Buddhists and Tamil Hindus or Muslims. Thus, there were significant religious and linguistic divisions.
2)      United Kingdom: Social division is a condition in which a particular community in a country is discriminated against because of differences in ideology and practices. In Northern Ireland, the population is divided into two major denominations of Christianity. 53% are Protestant, while 44% are Roman Catholic. Here, Catholics are poor and are discriminated against. This is a social division because class and religion are intertwined here.
3)      Belgium: Linguistic diversity can be found in Belgium. The Dutch and French form large communities, and a small community group is German society. 59% of Belgians speak Dutch.1% of Belgians speak German. Some speak French.
