Detailed Solution

The Treaty of Allahabad granted Britishers the Diwani right of Bihar, Bengal, and Orissa.
The Treaty of Allahabad in 1765 resulted from the Battle of Buxar in 1764, between the allied efforts of the Mughal emperor, Nawab of Awadh and Bengal, and the British East India Company (EIC). A British army of 10,000 men viciously vanquished a merged army of 40,000 Mughal, Awadh, and Mir Qasim. Mir Qasim fled the battle, while the remaining two agreed to surrender to the English army. In 1765, the British EIC imposed a demeaning Treaty of Allahabad on the Mughal Emperor and Nawab of Awadh. Robert Clive signed treaties with both Shah Alam and Sirajuddaula.
