Detailed Solution

Penda is a type of Indian agriculture known locally as "Swidden agriculture". Swidden agriculture sometimes called shifting cultivation, is a type of rotational farming in which land is cleared for cultivation (typically by fire) and allows time for repopulation after that. Dhya, penda, bewar, nevad, jhum, podu, khandad, and kumri are a few local terms for swidden agriculture in India. The forest is divided into pieces during shifting cultivation and burned one at a time. The crop is collected in October and November following the first monsoon rains, and after that, seeds are seeded in the ashes.
