Detailed Solution

Tropical moist deciduous forests are seen in Andaman and Nicobar islands.

Tropical deciduous forests are the most widespread forests of India. The trees shed leaves during dry season to conserve water, they grow abundantly in monsoons and due to precipitation they remain lush green during summers, hence these forests are also called the monsoon forests. They receive rainfall for almost half of the year. Their canopy is less dense as compared to tropical evergreen forest. The trees found here include sandalwood, mulberry, bamboo, and shisham.

The alpine forests are found in mountainous range and the mangrove forests are found in the wetlands or coastal areas with saline water, typically where there are muddy bottoms, hence, options B, C and D are incorrect.
