Energy consumed by te TV is,

                                                                ${\mathrm{E}}_1= {\mathrm{P}}_1{\mathrm{t}}_1$

Substituting the values,

                                                             ${\mathrm{E}}_1= 250\times 3600=9\times {10}^5\mathrm{J}$

Energy consumed by the toaster is,

                                                                ${\mathrm{E}}_2= {\mathrm{P}}_2{\mathrm{t}}_2$

Substituting the values,

                                                             ${\mathrm{E}}_2= 1200\times 600=7.2\times {10}^5\mathrm{J}$

Therefore, the energy consumed by a TV set of power 250 W in 1 hr. is more than the energy consumed by a toaster of power 1200 W in 10 minutes.
