The first mass-produced car in history was the Ford T-Model.
Henry Ford understood that the "assembly line" method would provide a quicker and more affordable way to produce cars. The assembly line required employees to perform the same task mechanically and at speed determined by the conveyor belt. By accelerating the rate of work, this method increased productivity per worker. As a result, Henry Ford's vehicles left the assembly line at three-minute intervals, a significantly higher rate than was possible with earlier techniques.
