Detailed Solution

In 1946, women got the right to vote in France.
Women and their voting rights have a long history. They had to fight for prolonged periods to get the right to vote in the elections. There were many instances where women were selectively given the voting right, and then the right was taken back. In France, Universal Male Suffrage (voting rights to all men) was granted as early as 1848, but women's right to vote was delayed until a century later. The French Union for Women's Suffrage was a feminist organization fighting for women's right to vote. Finally, women won their voting right in 1946.
