Detailed Solution

Clement Attlee admitted the right of Indians to frame their own Constitution.
British Prime Minister Clement Atlee stated on February 20, 1947, that British authority in India will end on June 30, 1948, and that power would then be transferred to responsible Indian hands. After this announcement by the Britishers, the Muslim league started demanding a separate Islamic country, leading to the partition of the country. Also, on June 3, 1947, the British Government added that any constitution framed by the Constituent Assembly of India could not apply to those parts of the country which were unwilling to accept it.
