Henry Ford adopted the concept of an assembly line to produce automobiles.
Henry Ford adjusted the merge line of the Chicago slaughterhouse (where animals were slaughtered). Butchers separated them as they descended by the conveyor at their new car station in Detroit. He realised that the "line of approach" approach would allow for a faster and cheaper route in car manufacturing. The assembly line forced workers to repeat one operation mechanically and continuously, such as inserting a part of a car at a speed specified by the conveyor belt. This was a way to increase productivity per job by speeding up the pace of work. Standing in front of the conveyor belt, no employee could slow down, take a break, or even speak friendly words to a coworker. As a result, Henry Ford's vehicles exited the assembly line within three minutes, much faster than those found earlier. The T-Model Ford was the world's first mass-produced car.
