Detailed Solution

Buddhist Missionaries from China introduced hand printing technology in Japan.
China is the place where the earliest print technology was created. For a very long period, printed material was produced in China. China had a bureaucratic structure in place that created new employees through a civil service test. The Imperial state-sponsored the printing and numbering of textbooks for this examination. The number of test-takers increased with the 16th century, which led to a rise in print output. Buddhist missionaries from China brought hand-printing technology to Japan using this method. Diamond Sutra is the oldest Japanese book, which was published in 868. This includes six sheets of text and woodcut pictures and is known as the Buddhist Diamond Sutra. Eventually, there were printed images on playing cards, paper money, and fabric.
