Detailed Solution

The President is the highest formal authority in the country.
The President of India is a member of Parliament even though he is not a member of either House. The President must approve any laws passed by the Houses before they come into effect. In all high-level appointments, the President's name is used. State governors, election commissioners, ambassadors to other countries, the Chief Justice of India, justices of the Supreme Court and state high courts, and others are only a few examples. All international agreements and treaties include the name of the President. India's President also acts as its supreme military leader. One of the most crucial duties of the President is to appoint the Prime Minister.
