Detailed Solution

The judge records the statement of a witness in court.
There are many functions of the criminal justice system. And those are done by different people like police, public prosecutor, judge, and so on. Police arrest the culprits who have committed crimes. They are supposed to conduct medical examinations when a woman is assaulted and when they arrest people for drunken driving. The public prosecutor examines the witnesses in court. He/she is entitled to represent the case on behalf of the state in court. The defence lawyer is the one who will represent the opposite client. A judge is responsible for conducting a fair trial. They record the evidence submitted in court. They also record the statements given by the witnesses. A judge is one who writes and passes the final judgement of a case.
