On April 8, 1929, the two crucial revolutionary leaders, such as Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt, defied the Central Legislative Assembly's decision to enact the Public Safety Bill and the Trade Issues Bill. As the bill would have restricted citizens' civil liberties, they threw a bomb while yelling "Inquilab Zindabad". In the modern history of India, the episode is popularly known as the 'Assembly Bombing Case'. They desired vengeance on some Legislative Assembly members for Lala Lajpat Rai's death. When Bhagat Singh detonated a bomb in the assembly to oppose the government, he was just a bit older than 21.
