Detailed Solution

Mahatma Gandhi was not a member of the Constituent Assembly.
The Constituent Assembly was first proposed by M.N. Roy in 1934. In 1935, the Indian National Congress forced the installation of a legislature. It was finally approved by the British in 1940 when C. Rajagopalachari raised his voice in the Constituent Assembly on November 15, 1939. Mahatma Gandhi had not been elected to the Constituent Assembly of India. Following the advice of the Cabinet Mission, the members were indirectly elected by the members of the provincial legislative assemblies. Provincial Legislative Assemblies elected 292 members, Indian Princely States elected 93 members, and Chief Commissioners' Provinces elected four members.
