Jawaharlal Nehru, Ak Ayyar Sardar, and Vallabhbhai Patel were members of the Constituent Assembly.
The post of Chairman of the Drafting Committee was given to B. R. Ambedkar. The honour of the first prime minister of independent India was given to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Alladi Krishnaswami Ayyar was the first deputy prime minister, and the Home Affairs Minister was Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. At a midnight session on the 14th and 15th of August 1947, Jawaharlal Nehru and the other members of the Indian Constituent Assembly made their promises.
