Detailed Solution

The acclaimed novel, Anandamath, was written by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay. During the freedom struggle in India, the book was part of the movement when people came to develop a shared sense of nationalistic identity. To honour and recognise this oneness, many artists and creative minds developed songs, poems, paintings, prints, emblems, stories, etc. In 1870, Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay created the allegory of Bharat Mata (Mother India), the nation's symbol. In addition, he wrote the national anthem, Vande Mataram, which was featured in his book Anandamath. This song became an anthem for the independence movement throughout the fight against British colonial rule.
