Detailed Solution

Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay wrote 'Vande Mataram'.
'Vande Mataram' is notable as the national song of our country. Bankim Chandra Chatterjee (1838 - 1894), otherwise called Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, was perhaps one of India's best writers and artists. He is known as the creator of Vande Mataram, the public melody of India. Expressing the words 'Vande Mataram' gave political dissidents and the ordinary public the solidarity to endure lathi blows on their heads and whiplashes on their open bodies. However, these words themselves made the English fury with outrage. But it soon turned into a National Mahamantra.
