Detailed Solution

The British Government appointed Simon commission.
The British government appointed the Simon Commission in November 1927. All the members of the Simon Commission were Europeans(white). The purpose of the formation of the Simon Commission was to make reforms and keep a check on the functionality of Indians. Simon's commission arrived in India in 1928. All Indians boycotted and protested against the Simon Commission, with the cries of "Simon go back". There is a reason why the Simon commission was formed when the Indian members of the central legislative Assembly exposed the drawbacks of India's government in the government of India act 1919.
