The National people’s Congress appoints the president of China.
The President of the People’s Republic of China is elected by the National People’s Congress Famously known as the NPC. The President of China holds office for a tenure of five years, and the post is renewable. The NPC is the highest state body of China. Besides electing the President, it has the power to remove him from office and other officials. The Congress’s executive body the NPC Praesidium nominates the President. To become the President, the person must have reached the age of at least 45 years and should possess complete electoral rights.
