Jayadev authored 'Gita Govinda'. Gita Govinda is a work of poetry. It tells the story of Lord Krishna's relationship with his beloved Radha. Lord Krishna is depicted as a male cowherd, whereas Radha is depicted as a female cowherd. The Gita Govinda is divided into twelve chapters. Each chapter is further broken into twenty-four eight-lined couplet sections. It also expands on Radha's eight moods, called Ashta Nayika.
