Detailed Solution

The State Government can make laws relating to the subjects mentioned in the State list. Part XI of the Indian Constitution lists the provisions about the relationship between the Union and the States. List I is the Union List, List II is the State List, and List III is the Concurrent List, according to the 7th Schedule of the Constitution, which specifies that the legislative subjects are separated into three groups: the Union and State. List II, the State List, which originally included 66 subjects and now has 59 subjects, gives the State Legislature the authority to investigate any of the items on this list. Public order, local governance, agriculture, fisheries, gas and linked works, among other things, are some items on this list.
