Detailed Solution

Pulakeshin II checked Harsha's march into the deccan.
Pulakeshin was the best-known ruler of the  Chalukya dynasty.  We get to know about him from the Prashasti written by Ravikirti, who is a court poet of the king. Information about the ancestors of the king is also obtained from this Prashasti. Pulakeshin got his kingdom from his uncle. He later led expeditions along both the west and the east coasts. Harsha’s expedition towards the Deccan was stopped by the Pulakeshin. The poet Ravikirti describes this incident in his poem. He says that due to this incident  Harsha was no longer Harsha ( this Harsha means happiness). These words show us his wordplay in the poem.
