Detailed Solution

Rajputs claimed "Kshatriya" caste status.
The Rajputs, whose name is derived from "Rajaputra"(the son of a ruler), were one group of people who rose to prominence during the time. The term was used more broadly to describe a group of warriors who claimed to be members of the Kshatriya caste between the eighteenth and the fourteenth centuries. The term covered not only kings and chiefs but also the soldiers and generals who served in the armies of various emperors throughout the subcontinent. The Rajputs were known for their extreme valour and fierce loyalty, which were attributes bestowed upon them by their poets and bards.
