Ravikirti  composed the prashasti of chalukya King Pulakesin II.
Ravikirti uses interesting word plays in his poem. Ravikriti was the court poet of  Pulakeshin II who composed the Prashasti of Chalukyas king Pulakesin II. Pulakeshin II was the best-known ruler of the Chalukyas dynasty. The Pulakeshin stopped Harsha’s expedition toward the Deccan. The poet describes this incident in his poem. He says that Harsha was no longer Harsha ( this Harsha means happiness) due to this incident. These words show us his wordplay in the poem.
