Akbar supervised the construction of Agra Fort.
It was a labour-intensive project, and workers used simple implements, tools, and basic masonry materials to construct the water gate at the Agra Fort. The stones needed for the building project were transported to the construction sites through oxen. Kings used to build two kinds of structures. First, for personal consumption (forts, palaces) between the eighth and eighteenth centuries. Second, for public use like bazaars, temples etc. However, the Agra Fort comes in the first category.
