Detailed Solution

Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh guru, created the institution of Khalsa. Following him, Banda Bahadur organised a rebellion by the entire Khalsa against the Mughal Empire. In addition, he made coins bearing the names of former Sikh gurus. Throughout the 18th century, the Sikhs organised themselves into several jathas known as misls. Around Baisakhi and Diwali, the Dal Khalsa, the collective army of all the jathas, used to assemble in Amritsar.
