Detailed Solution

Johann Gutenberg developed the first-known Printing Press in the 1430s.
Due to the ever-growing educated populace in the 15th Century, there came a need for a long list of printed textbooks. But during that time, Printing was not cheap and was also not properly used to serve the public in a cheap and pocket-friendly way. Moreover, China's woodblock printing had become quite famous during that time. This also helped in that many people started woodblock printing not only for textbooks but also for various other purposes, like in textiles, paintings, etc. As a result, to change the printing culture worldwide, Johann Gutenberg 1440 brought about a revolution in the world of Printing. He opened the first Printing Press in Strasbourg, which was quicker as well as cheaper in its way.
