Motilal Nehru and eight other Congress leaders drafted the Constitution for Indians in 1928. The Indian National Congress, also known as the Congress Party or just Congress, is an Indian political party with a long history. It was the first contemporary separatist movement to emerge in the British Empire in Asia and Africa, and it began in 1885. In response to the establishment of the Simon Commission, the Indian National Congress took two significant decisions in December 1927 during its Madras session: first, it decided not to join the Commission. The Constitution that was drafted in 1928 was named the Nehru Report. An All Parties Conference committee led by Motilal Nehru and chaired by Jawaharlal Nehru prepared it. The Committee was made up of nine people.
