Who first introduced the name Echinodermata?

The name “Echinodermata” was first introduced by Jacob Klein in 1738. Here “Echinos” means spines, and “derma” means skin. Thus, echinoderms are spiny-skinned invertebrates having a characteristic water vascular system.

They are exclusively marine dwellers. Examples of echinoderms are starfish, sea urchins, sea cucumbers, sea lilies, and feather stars.
