The Swaraj Party was founded by CR Das in 1922 at the Indian National Congress's annual session in Gaya. The goal was to give the Indians more self-governance and political autonomy against British domination. They boycotted all government operations and expressed their grievances in the legislative assembly. The Swaraj Party was formed as a result of Mahatma Gandhi's withdrawal from the Non-Cooperation Movement. Motilal Nehru became the secretary, while C.R Das became the president of the new party. The concept of swaraj, which means "self-rule" or "independence," inspired the formation of the party.
