Austrian Chancellor Duke Metternich hosted the meeting in 1815, where the Treaty of Vienna was formulated. After the defeat of Napoleon in 1815, the representatives of the countries which beat him, namely Russia, Prussia, Austria, and Britain, met and formulated the famous Treaty of Vienna. They wanted to bring about a change from the days of revolution to protect their position of power and strengthen the establishment. As a result, States were established on the border of France. The Bourbon dynasty was restored under this treaty.
