Detailed Solution

James Watt improvised the Steam Engine. James Watt was a Scottish inventor and instrument maker. In 1764, Watt observed a failure of Newcomen's steam engine. It wasted a lot of steam. Watt concluded that the waste is due to the single-cylinder design of the steam engine. In 1765, Watt designed another condenser. This is a device to reduce the amount of waste generated from Newcomen's steam engine. Watt patented the device in 1769. James Watt's invention of the steam engine made it possible to mechanically blow air into the blast furnace. This has enabled the mass production of iron.
