Napoleon introduced the Civil Code of 1804. The Civil Code of 1804 is also known famously as the Napoleonic Code. Napoleon Bonaparte introduced the Code as part of an administrative reforms. It was seen as a step aimed at making the entire administrative system more rational and efficient in France as well as in the regions under Napoleonic control. The Civil Code of 1804 was extended and exported to regions other than France as well. These regions were the regions which were under French control. With the introduction of the Civil Code of 1804, Napoleon established equality of all before law, helped in securing the right to property, and took away all privileges based on birth.
