Detailed Solution

Gutenberg invented the printing press.
The invention of the printing press was a significant step in media development. Printing enabled large amounts of information to be produced for a large number of people. Before the invention of the printing press, information was recorded by hand. This limited the number of manuscripts that could be produced at a time. John Gutenberg was a young man looking to start a new enterprise. In this regard, Gutenberg thought of using wooden blocks with carved letters in machines to make the printing process faster. Gutenberg used metal blocks instead of wood. His machine was known as a portable typing machine. The Gutenberg Bible, thus printed, is an essential historical item.
