Concept: A wealthy Parsi family in Mumbai welcomed Homi J. Bhabha into the world on October 30, 19 and 9. His father, Jehangir Hormusji Bhabha, was a well-known attorney. At the Cathedral and John Connon Schools in Bombay, he received his instruction. Later, he attended Elphinstone College for affirmation. He moved to England for further research and attended the Royal Institute of Science there till 1927. He then enrolled in Cambridge University's Caius College to pursue a degree in mechanical design at that time.
Homi Jehangir Bhabha, a renowned Indian atomic scientist, is also known as "The Dad of the Indian Atomic Program" because he played a key role in elevating India to the exclusive club of nuclear-powered nations. He was also the founding head of the Atomic Energy Establishment, Trombay (AEET) , which was renamed Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) in his honour and memory. He was also the founding overseer of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR).
