CK Janu is an Adivasi activist. Adivasis are original occupants or communities who lived and often continue to live in close association with forests. According to her, governments in various states are the violators of constitutional rights guaranteed to the tribal people of India. They allowed paper mills, tribal merchants, etc., to exploit the tribal area. Forests were cleared to establish sanctuaries and other protected areas. This led to the eviction of Adivasis from there, and they even can’t go back. Not only are tribals evicted from their lands, but also they do not get any compensation for this.
