Detailed Solution

The Prime Minister is the real executive. There are three government organs: the legislature, the executive and the judiciary. The executive is the organ which works to execute or implement the laws made by the government. The Union executive comprises the President, the Vice President and the Council of Ministers, of which the head is the Prime Minister. It is the Prime Minister who is called the real executive, whereas the President is only regarded as a nominal executive. This is because the Prime Minister directly or indirectly takes all major governance decisions. The President can not decide on his own without recommendations and suggestions from the CoM, headed by the PM.
