St. Thomas, the apostle of Christ, is believed to have come to Kerala almost 2000 years ago and is believed to have brought Christianity to India. According to the traditional explanation of St. Thomas Christians in Kerala, India, it is thought that Thomas travelled outside the Roman Empire and preached his gospel to the Malabar coast of Kerala. According to their tradition, Thomas arrived in Muziris (now North Parava and Kodungaluru, Kerala, India) in 52 AD. In this way, it is said that St. Thomas, the apostle of Christ, came to Kerala.
