Detailed Solution

Richard Arkwright is credited with the invention of the cotton mill. In the late Eighteenth Century as the production peaked, imports of raw materials used in the manufacture of cotton more than doubled and multiplied by the number of times those commodities were required for the various stages of cotton processing. Richard Arkwright was constructing a cotton mill in England at the same time, and was the first to do so successfully. Up until that point, all of the steps in the cotton business were completed in rural areas, and the finished goods were then distributed in suburban areas. Everything altered as a result of this iconic establishment. Extensive cotton imports, initiatives to maximise labour productivity, and mechanisation of the spinning and weaving operations.
