Detailed Solution

Turks are given credit for the establishment of the Delhi Sultanate. Qutb-al-din Aibak founded the Delhi Sultanate. The Delhi Sultanate was established in 1206 under the Mamluk dynasty. The Delhi Sultanate lasted until 1526 and is called a period of cultural intermixing. A Muslim minority ruled a variety of subjects and the majority of which were of the Hindu faith. The Turkic Qutb al-Din Aibak became the first Sultan of Delhi as he was assumed to be in power. Turks from Central Asia came and started raising others to become loyal military slaves known as Mamluks. And soon, Turks began migrating to Muslim lands and becoming Islamicized. And many Turkic Mamluk slaves rose to become rulers.
